4/11/2002 is this ŞEMSI PASA MOSQUE .... I DON'T SUPPOSE SO...
4/16/2002 Oh my God, he’s right. For a year, I’ve had the wrong name on this mosque. When I found it, I thought it must be Semsi Pasa Mosque. They both have 8 sides and they’re both on the water here. It turns out that Semsi Pasa Mosque is just a block behind this one. Darn, I wish I hadn’t gotten the wrong one. Thank you to whoever corrected me.

4/9/2004 Actually, I touched this one up. Sorry for using tricks. But the sky was solid white and overexposed. So I took the sky from some other shot and added it in.

4/24/2006 I am afraid, this is not yeni valide(atik valide) mosque. Simply, Yeni valid mosque hasn't got 2 şerefe(I don't know exact name of it, but member around it) at the minaret, got only one. Also inside photos mihrab and muqarnas at edges are shows that.
4/24/2006 Well, it wouldn't be the first time I got the name of this one wrong. But this time I'm really quite sure. I think Atik Valide is a different mosque. Plus, Yeni Valide sometimes gets confused with Yeni Mosque in the old city.
1 - Here's a quote from istanbultourist.com, "South of the square is the Yeni Valide mosque, built for Glnus, the mother of Ahmed III. Her round mausoleum flanks the mosque. The stone tomb has no roof, but is covered by an iron, dome shaped grill."
2 - There's a photo of it at the bottom of this page.
3 - Look in the lower right corner of this map.
4/25/2006 Yes, i got it my friend. You are right, Yeni valide and Atik valide are different mosques :)
Both of them in üsküdar and Yeni valide is not sinan's work. It was dated 1700's. I found a detailed city map, it will be good for you but it is turkish unfortunately. Here is URL : http://www.istanbul.net.tr/istanbul_harita.asp?PN=1169
At the right side there is a flash map (Flash Harita). You can just search.
